Aheila’s Drabble Day Challenge – Seek

I haven’t done this in a bit (sorry Aheila!). But as I’m back in my routine, I’m quite happy to indulge in another drabble day challenge.

Remember how it works?

Read the prompt and find your angle.
Write a drabble (100 words story, give or take five words).
Post a direct link to your drabble in the comments (or, if you don’t have a blog, just go ahead and post your drabble in the comments of Aheila’s original post or here).
In the post on your blog, make sure to link back to this post.
Today’s prompt is: Seek!
And the extra challenge for points no one keeps track of: the twist is the ‘find’!

Seek

Imperfection. Mortality.
It is a flaw of the human race, one which makes us cringe and flinch away from ourselves. The catch is that, it’s not the imperfection that we flinch from, but ourselves. We always seeking for new ways to perfect ourselves. New ways to bring ourselves above that which we have to be content with.
And we are never content. Our lives are short, our mortality adding to our imperfection.
But I have found the cure, the treatment, the fountain of youth.
Words. Our words make us immortal and so – perfect, for generations to come.
